Back to the Charters for the millionth time.
We arrived first, and jumped the queue and soundchecked. decided to allow everyone to use our drums, mikes and mikestands hmmmmm!
Failure by Design were hours and hours late, and when they finally set up they were probably stressed beyond belief.. compounded by an amp failure. A ska band from liverpool, I don;t want to judge them on that. to be honest I wasn't paying that much attention.
Existend were their normal excellant selves, and i was just getting into it when the sound was cut and they were kicked off!! after FOUR songs. shocking!
Disarm were great. Technical problems spoiled the opener to some extent, but overall the gig was good, and there was even a "pit", from which someone was carried out semi-concious clutching what looked like a broken neck.. sure it wasn't but he didnt look too good.
2CI were great .. much heavier than I expected, and really rocking. A great shame that they played to a very sparse crowd. The singer fucked my mike stand, and hammered the life out of my SM58, and I had a proper tantrum. but we kissed and made up in the end. I need to see this band at a better venue with a better sound.
Overall .. It ROCKED!
