South Yorkshire Battle of the Bands 2009 at Mexborough Civic!

OK, HERES HOW IT WORKS...

  • Any unsigned band can enter!
  • Any genre!
  • There is a guaranteed cash prize of at least £500 for the winner! More prizes to be announced later!
  • The closing date for applying is Friday 17th July.
  • After the closing date all bands will randomly selected into heats (the number of heats depends on the number of bands entered).
  • Each heat will consist of four bands, only two of which will go through to the next round.
  • Once finalised all the dates will be put up on the Civic website and myspace.
  • Bands will need to be available in August and September.
  • Each band will be judged by a panel of independent judges. They will be giving marks for originality, performance, interaction with the crowd and musical ability.
  • Bands must be able to perform between 20 and 30 minutes with a maximum of one cover song.
  • The bands chosen to go through will be announced on the night.

All you have to do is fill in an application form (below) and email it to mexboroughcivic@googlemail.com please title your email "battle of the bands application form" to ensure it doesn't get lost!
